Seth had his first field trip last week. The preschool and kindergarten classes took a trip to a little farm. He had been counting down the sleeps for ages and was so excited about it. He kept telling me, “I can’t wait to go to school today!!” I wish I’d taken a picture of his little face looking out the school bus window- I’m sure that was a highlight of the day for him!
I volunteered to chaperone on the field trip, although I don’t think I was any help at all since I brought Benji and Oliver with me. Luckily there were tonnes of other parents along to help out with all those kids.
We had a really good day. The weather was perfect, Seth was excited, Ben was excited to be a part of things too, and even Oliver was excited about the animals.
The animals were a bit hit.
Unfortunately Oliver was sleeping by the time we got to the petting zoo part of the farm.
He did wake up by the time we got to the ducklings though, and he sure was cute making his little peeping duck sounds.
We all came home exhausted and sunburned (oops), but Seth’s first field trip was a definite success.
