Life as we know it.

It has been freaking cold around here since forever. Colder than it has been in a couple years apparently. Windchills around -35C all the way to -45C. Seth’s had indoor recess for almost two solid weeks I think and one day school was even cancelled because it was so cold.

Needless to say, we’ve been venturing out even less than usual.

But we’re happy and cozy here at home (except for that one day that the power was out for almost 6 hours…).
We’re keeping busy, like always, and having fun, like mostly always.

Ivy keeps picking on Oliver. He is at a complete loss as to what to do with her. She wins every time.

The kids do all mostly play very nicely together, and I’m thankful for that. Today I managed to clean and vacuum two bedrooms, and even clean both bathrooms while the kids just hung out together.

At least the sun is shining brightly, which makes the bone-chilling cold feel a tiny little bit less terrible.

I’m so ready for spring, though, and it’s still sooooo far away. Time never seems to tick quite as quickly in the dead of winter, unfortunately.

The weather network says that we will get a brief respite this weekend, with a high of -4C on Sunday, THANK GOODNESS. Unfortunately the cold will be back with a vengeance by Wednesday…
