Trapped at home.

The weather has been so nice the last few days. So sunny and warm.

Unfortunately Seth has been pretty sick since Saturday with I don’t know what. A fever, sore tummy, cough, and sometimes a sore chest too. He’s been pretty out of it and mostly just lays on the couch all day long.

I think he is feeling a little bit better today although he got up way too early and is now asleep again, for the last hour, and it’s only 8:45 am. I’m glad he fell back asleep, at least. That’s pretty much a real-life miracle. I hope when he wakes up he’s feeling better.

Anyway, with Seth sick, we’ve been trapped here at home. We’ve been out in the backyard, but the kids have had lots of fun inside too. Jumping on the bed is always a favorite.

Ben was jumping OFF the bed, and Ivy and Oliver thought that was the funniest thing they’d ever seen.

It’s always the best time, when they get to play on our bed.

I’m thankful that they think Ben is so amusing.

It’s another hot day around here, and even though we’re stuck at home I’m hoping we can find some fun things to do. I’m thinking about pulling out the sprinkler, making some sidewalk chalk, and maybe making a summer bucket-list poster. I think Seth will have the energy to make a poster, if nothing else.

Ivy’s nose just started running like crazy again today. How nice those last four snot-free days were. I swear that girl’s nose is a continual fountain of boogies. At least she’s not as horribly opposed to nose-wiping as she used to be…
